ASIC/SoC Verification Manager

For our team in Konstanz, Germany, we are looking for an experienced ASIC/ SoC Verification Manager to work in our headquarters at the Lake of Konstanz. You will be managing the Hyperstone chip verification and validation processes to ensure the high quality of our reliable NAND flash memory controllers

Your Tasks
  • Drive and guide the verification activities incl. introducing new tools and methods
  • Lead a team of verification and validation engineers
  • Planning, tracking and execution of verification projects
  • Advisory team member to all aspects of the ASIC development   
Your Profile
  • Team player and open minded
  • MSc (or equivalent) degree with minimum 7 years experience in  ASIC Design & Verification
  • Experience in a technical leader or manager role
  • Excellence in hardware description languages (Verilog, SV) and verification methodologies
  • Professional in tool handling - simulation, formal verification,  linting, RTC,CTC
  • Knowhow in writing and adopting C/C++ for verification and validation
  • Experience in FPGA prototyping and embedded HW/SW design is a plus
  • Experience with complex host interfaces like PCIe, eMMC, SD, etc. is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German

ASIC/SoC Verification Specialist

For our team in Konstanz, Germany, we are looking for an experienced ASIC Verification Specialist.

Your Tasks
  • Development of verification solutions for systems or  sub-systems as part of our ASIC development activity
  • Participation in the decision making process about third party IP/VIP versus in-house development
  • Functional verification planning incl. feature extraction and test case / regression development
  • Maintain and improve the verification- and script environment
  • Conceptual and architectural considerations and decisions together with systems engineers
  • Develop and maintain prototyping solutions combined with testware development
  • Support the introduction of new methods and tools
Your Profile
  • Degree (MSc) in Electrical Engineering, Digital Design, Electronics or equivalent,
  • 5 years+ experience in digital design and verification
  • Experience with hardware description languages like Verilog, SystemVerilog, etc
  • Experience with modern verification methodologies e.g. OVM, UVM
  • Knowledge in simulation environment, equivalence checking, linting and formal verification
  • Good knowledge in writing and adopting C/C++ code for verification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Prototyping/FPGA experience
  • Knowledge in Flash Memory Design and ECC technology is a plus

ASIC/SoC Verification Engineer

For our team in Konstanz, Germany, we are looking for an ASIC Verification Engineer.

Your Tasks
  • Support the design and verification activity as part of our ASIC development team
  • Enrich our development teams with fresh ideas and smart concepts
  • Step by step learn about the different tasks, needed to develop successful Chips
  • Training combined with learning by doing and stepwise take over tasks and responsibilities

Your Profile

Master's Thesis in the field of error correction methods in flash memory systems

Hyperstone develops NAND flash memory controllers for demanding industrial applications. As memory capacities continue to increase and the structural widths of flash memory are decreasing and 3D NAND technology is coming to mass production, the need for powerful error correction in the memory controller is rising. Therefore we are looking for dedicated and motivated students to support our team in Konstanz.

Your Tasks
  • Literature research on Low-Density Parity-Check codes (LDPC) and Generalized Concatenated codes (GC)
  • Implementation or evaluation of an LDPC code and comparison with an existing implementation of a GC code
  • Analysis and creation of an error model of the flash memory
Your Profile
  • Master's program in electrical engineering, telecommunication engineering, computer science or comparable course of studies
  • Good knowledge of error correction codes
  • Good programming skills (knowledge of Julia advantageous)
  • Knowledge of signal processing
  • Ability to work independently

Firmware Development Manager

For our team in Konstanz, Germany, we are looking for an experienced firmware development manager.

Your Tasks
  • Leading a team of firmware development engineers throughout the entire development process
  • Planning, scheduling, tracking, and execution of firmware development projects
  • Enhancement of the design and development process using leading edge methodologies & tools
  • Participate in the development work at key areas and demonstrate to the other team members good practice and skills
  • Ensuring firmware and product quality by living and improving the established development and quality control processes
  • Participate in conceptual and architectural considerations and decisions together with the R&D management team
Your Profile
  • MSc (or equivalent) degree and 6 to 10 years of professional software development experience including experience in a technical leader / manager role, PhD is a benefit
  • Excellence in C language software design and development
  • Familiarity with microprocessors, system architecture, software development and debug tools
  • Familiarity with internals of operating systems like Linux is a plus
  • Familiarity with flash memory based mass storage device technology is a plus
  • Experience with complex host interfaces like PCIe, eMMC, SATA, etc. is a plus
